a new life

its been one month since I left Puebla, since I started to live freely again. things haven't been perfect, I've cried, missed my friends and wondered if I had taken the right choice. but today I know that I did, I needed this change, I've been photographing more than ever, meeting new people and places, living and enjoying everyday. I've concluded that happiness is where you want it to be, it depends only on you, and now I can tell you that I couldn't be any happier.

during this month I have done lots introspection, my lover and I are stronger than ever and our relationship has grown. we needed lots of patience, tolerance and love to adapt to our new life. and even though sometimes it's been a little difficult, we are never looking back.

we have explored many beautiful places and met some lovely people. this is our first month in pictures...

our day with Lupita and her kids at Valle de los Fantasmas

we had the loveliest day next to Lupita, Ricky and Marcel, she drove us to Valle de los Fantasmas, a quiet and peaceful place in the middle of the mountains. there we explored, talked and had a picnic under a tree. we laughed to the jokes of the kids while we walked in the nature.
we found a river where the boys would throw rocks and laugh when they made the water splash. it smelled of moss and dead leaves and the only sound was our steps and the wind.
Marcel found a worm that he named Gusi, and when he had to leave he put it on a rock and told him "you were such a great fellow Gusi, now you can continue with your life". and Ricky, who talked like an adult, kept telling Lalo to give him and his friends cooking lessons.
their mama is one of the most inspiring people I know, I feel very blessed for knowing her. she is the kind of person that illuminates everything around her, and you can't help but be happy when you are next to her, she has a warm heart and a beautiful soul.
